Hortons advises Mortgage Brain as it expands with the
acquisition of The Edge
Mortgage Brain, the market leading mortgage technology solutions provider has acquired the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of The EdgeV2 software platform from the Administrators of the Enterprise Group. Inex bounces back

Thomas Horton LLP were pleased to advise the directors on the acquisition of the Stratford upon Avon based Inex Consulting business, from its administrators. In doing so the transaction safeguarded Inex employee jobs and secured continuity of service to its IT business process customers. Thomas Horton advises biotechnology company Henderson Morley plc on public offer

Birmingham-based biotechnology company Henderson Morley plc has announced its public offer in a bid to raise funding of £1 million to finance its working capital needs and to further develop its vaccine programme. The offer is partially underwritten by the Company’s executive directors and others.
Operating from its virology and molecular biology research facilities, the Company specialises in the research and development of anti-viral drugs and vaccines to fight a wide range of diseases in humans and animals. The Company was advised by Bromsgrove-based lawyers Thomas Horton LLP, and Jeff Taylor, newly appointed Head of Corporate Services at the firm said:
‘Everyone is aware of what a challenging time it is for businesses seeking to raise funds through the capital markets. However, the biotechnology sector has proved to be relatively robust and stable, so we are optimistic that Henderson Morley will raise the funds it needs to continue its development plans. We have been delighted to advise Henderson Morley on this fundraising exercise.’

Lord Digby Jones opens Thomas Horton LLP new office in Barnt Green

Lord Digby Jones praised Midland law firm Thomas Horton, for refusing to succumb to the economic downturn and actually expanding its business.
The former CBI director general and trade minister opened the firm’s new offices in Barnt Green. Lord Jones of Birmingham, who unveiled a plaque with managing director and senior partner Matthew Horton, said: “It is heartening, in these difficult times, to see that Thomas Horton continues to flourish and is actually expanding its excellent services.”
