Corporate social responsibility

Supporting the communities in which we live and work is important to us. For many years we have been actively involved in a range of activities which support our local area, for example:

  • Two of our partners are members of Bromsgrove’s Court Leet committee – the Court Leet is an annual Midsummer’s event which takes place in the town and its fundraising initiatives support a number of local charities;
  • We have given our support to a number of heritage projects in the town, including the restoration of the Sanders Horse Trough in 2007;
  • We have continued to support the Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council’s own charity fund;
  • We made a contribution to the Emily Jordan foundation;
  • More recently we have undertaken the following initiatives having opened a new office in Barnt Green in January 2009:
    • Organised and promoted for the benefit of local traders a marketing campaign which encouraged local trade in the village;
    • Provided financial and pro bono legal advice to the Barnt Green Scouts, whose hut was destroyed in an arson attack;
    • Supported the Barnt Green Summer Festival in June 2009;
  • We are regular contributors to the annual Bromsgrove Festival;
  • Many of our staff are involved in fundraising initiatives and we positively encourage their efforts;
  • We have a longstanding relationship with Bromsgrove School, the largest employer in the town, and undertake pro bono work for the school.
